Putting DragFactor into STEAM

 

 

================To put DragFactor in STEAM================
STEP-1
1. download DragFactor_1.6a and extract it to any location, make sure you can find it.
2. in DragFactor_1.6a, navigate to the GameData\Vehicles\DragFactor folder
3. [COPY] the DragFactor folder
4. navigate to c:\program files\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor\GameData\Vehicles
5. paste the DragFactor folder into the Vehicles folder, so you have c:\program files\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor\GameData\Vehicles\DragFactor

STEP-2
6. in DragFactor_1.6a, navigate to the GameData\Locations
7. [COPY] the Locations folder
8. navigate to c:\program files\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor\GameData
9. paste the Locations folder into the GameData folder, so that all the tracks load into this folder
===========================================
STEP-3
10. in DragFactor_1.6a, navigate to the rFm folder
11. [COPY] these 4 files....DragFactor.bik, DragFactor.rfm, DragFactor.tga & DragFactor_logo.tga
12. navigate to c:\program files\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor\rFm
13. paste those 4 files into the rFm folder

STEP-4
14. in DragFactor_1.6a, navigate to the DragFactor_1.6a\UIData folder
15. [COPY] the DragFactorUIData folder
16. navigate to c:\program files\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor\UIData
17. paste the DragFactorUIData folder into the UIData folder, so you have c:\program files\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor\UIData\DragFactorUIData

STEP-5
14. in Steam, navigate to the c:\program files\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor\GameData\Vehicles folder
15. Rename Showroom.mas to showroom-STEAM.mas
16. Rename Vview.scn to Vview-STEAM.scn
17. navigate to DragFactor_1.6a\GameData\Vehicles folder
18. [COPY] the showroom.mas & Vview.scn files
19. paste the showroom.mas & Vview.scn files into c:\program files\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor\GameData\Vehicles folder

STEP-6
20. to remove the menu background on the left side of the showroom in STEAM
21. in DragFactor_1.6a navigate to the DragFactor_1.6a\UIData\DragFactorUIData folder
22. locate and [COPY] these 5 files....

STATIC_GARAGE_A0000.bmp,

STATIC_GARAGE_B0000.bmp,

STATIC_GARAGE_C0000.bmp,

static_garage0000.tga,

static_garage0000.tga

23. paste these 5 files into the c:\program files\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor\UIData folder

STEP-7
24. in DragFactor_1.6a navigate to the DragFactor_1.6a\MovieFiles\DragFactor folder
25. [COPY] the DragFactor folder
26. in Steam, navigate to the c:\program files\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor\MovieFiles folder
27. paste the DragFactor folder into c:\program files\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor\MovieFiles
28. you should now have this........ c:\program files\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor\MovieFiles\DragFactor
 

 

 

That's it, you should be good to go now
